GRAVEL GARDEN
Locally sourced pebbles provide this garden with low maintenance ground cover from which a combination of succulents and grasses add body and substance. A path of sawn bluestone steppers meanders to the side gate through a landscape of sculptural Beschornerias. Ornamental Pears provide balance to the tall house while simultaneously enclosing the space with walls of green. The result is a garden which handles the blazing northern sun and unrelenting wind, while needing little attention to remain beautiful.
